AVDI has established business relationships over the years with a number of large privately owned pulp & paper companies operating in Nova Scotia. These large companies own hundreds of thousands of hectares of managed woodlands, tree plantations, Kyoto forests (1990) and legislated environmentally sensitive mature growth forests, Acadian forest. Large tracts of property are located on saltwater as well as freshwater lakes, rivers, and water shed areas. These areas are environmentally sensitive and are subject to Canadian & Nova Scotian strict environmental laws.
AVDI has selected over 50,000 hectares of these properties for cap-and-trade usage, carbon offset, carbon emission trading, properties for sale as carbon credit sequestered areas. AVDI provides expertise to secure and facilitate the procurement of large woodland transactions at or below local market values here in the province of Nova Scotia.
